    Rio Grande Valley Vipers celebrated G-League title. They fired past Long Island Nets in the decisive third game of the championship series. Rio Grande Valley Vipers made 19-of-25 free shots (76.0 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Rio Grande Valley Vipers made 8 blocks. It was a good game for German power forward Isaiah Hartenstein (211-98) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 30 points and 17 rebounds. Guard Michael Frazier (193-94, college: Florida) contributed with 24 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Rio Grande Valley Vipers' coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Center Alan Williams (203-93, college: UCSB) answered with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 21 rebounds (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) and guard Jordan McLaughlin (185-96, college: USC) added 22 points, 5 rebounds, 9 assists and 5 steals in the effort for Long Island Nets. Five Rio Grande Valley Vipers and four Long Island Nets players scored in double figures.

    Hustle Sweep Showcase, Earn Seventh Win in Eight Games - Dec 21, 2018


    The Memphis Hustle defeated the Wisconsin Herd 124-113 Thursday afternoon at the MGM Resorts NBA G League Winter Showcase inside the Mandalay Bay Convention Center. The Hustle won each of its games at Showcase and have won seven of its last eight. The team is also now 5-0 against Eastern Conference competition. Memphis built a consistent and steady lead throughout the first half, but the Herd closed the half on an 11-1 run to take a 61-60 lead into halftime. The Hustle quickly retook the lead and led by as many as 16 near the end of the game. The Hustle assisted on 30 of its 45 made field goals and owned a 29-16 advantage in points off turnovers. Dusty Hannahs (6'3''-G-93, college: Arkansas) posted another big performance off the bench, leading the team in scoring with 26 points on 9-of-17 shooting (4-7 3P). Tyler Harvey added 24 points and a game-high eight assists, knocking down 6-of-9 three-pointers. Yuta Watanabe also chipped in with 24 points to go with seven rebounds. Tarik Phillip (6'3''-G-93, college: W.Virginia, agency: Two Points) (13 points) and Doral Moore (10 points) also hit double digits while D.J. Stephens (6'6''-G/F-90, college: Memphis) fell one bucket shy of a double-double (eight points, 11 rebounds). Christian Wood (6'10''-F-95, college: UNLV, agency: Pensack Sports) had a monster game for the Herd, posting 35 points (11-18 FG, 13-16 FT) to go with 18 rebounds, a season-high for any Hustle opponent. Fellow Bucks assignee Donte DiVincenzo (6'5''-G-97, college: Villanova) made his NBA G League debut, scoring 21 points to go with seven boards and three assists. Two-way player Jaylen Morris (20 points) and Trevon Duval (18 points) also had big nights for the Herd.
