Look at great performance of Alfonso Plummer (22 points), Marcus Domask (19 points), and Trent Frazier (12 points).
#1. Puerto Rican player Alfonso Plummer, a 6'1'' guard at 28 years old, graduated from Illinois in 2022 after helping them secure the Big Ten Regular Season Co-Champion title that year. Currently playing professionally in Puerto Rico, Plummer recently faced a tough loss with the Capitanes de Arecibo (15-11) against the Santeros. Despite his outstanding performance, where he recorded a double-double with 22 points and 10 assists in 40 minutes, Arecibo fell short on the road, losing 90-99 to the third-ranked Santeros. This defeat marked Capitanes de Arecibo's sixth consecutive loss, highlighting the team's challenging season. In a previous game against Aguada, Plummer showcased his skills by scoring 22 points, securing 2 rebounds, and distributing 10 assists. Despite his remarkable individual efforts, the team was unable to secure a victory. Throughout the season, Plummer has maintained impressive statistics, averaging 17.0 points, 2.0 rebounds, and 6.5 assists per game in the two matches he has played so far. His consistent performance and contributions on the court demonstrate his value as a key player for the team, even amidst their recent struggles.
#2. Marcus Domask, a 6'6'' guard/forward and Fighting Illini alumni from 2024, has been making waves in the professional basketball scene in Belgium. Despite his best efforts in the recent game against the second-ranked Giants in Antwerp, Domask's team, Oostende, fell short with a final score of 84-89. As the top scorer of the game with 19 points in just 24 minutes, Domask showcased his talent and skill on the court. This remarkable performance is particularly impressive considering that Domask is only in his second season of professional basketball. In the game against Antwerp, Domask not only scored 19 points but also contributed with 2 rebounds and 1 assist, demonstrating his versatility and impact on the game. Although Domask has been delivering consistently good performances, his team was unable to clinch the victory on this occasion. Throughout this season, Domask has maintained solid statistics, averaging 14.3 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game across 11 games. His strong presence on the court and ability to contribute both offensively and defensively make him a key player for Oostende as they continue to strive for success in the league.
#3. Trent Frazier, a 6'2'' guard who graduated from Illinois in 2022 after helping them win the Big Ten Regular Season Co-Champion title that year, currently plays professionally in Russia. In a recent game, Frazier was unable to lead Zenit (28-12) to victory as they faced off against the lower-ranked Lokomotiv (#4) and suffered a 76-84 loss on their home court. Despite Frazier's commendable performance, where he scored 12 points, provided 5 assists, and played for 37 minutes, Zenit could not secure the win. Throughout the season, Bezhanishvili has been having an exceptional year individually, boasting impressive statistics with an average of 16.9 points, 10.2 rebounds, and 3.6 assists per game over nine matches. It is noteworthy that Bezhanishvili also holds a Georgian passport.
