Courtesy of Eurobasket LLC Every week we bring you a list of the top former Bulldogs players who continue their career in pro basketball.
#1. Tyree Boykin, a 6'0'' point guard and 27-year-old App State graduate from 2023, previously played in Union, TN from 2017 to 2022 before joining a professional team in Georgia. Despite his stellar performance last Friday, Boykin couldn't lead Kutaisi to victory as they were defeated 86-80 at home by the lower-ranked Orbi (#5). As the top scorer of the game, Boykin contributed 38 points along with 6 rebounds and 5 assists during his 37 minutes on the court. This marks Boykin's first season with the team, where he has maintained solid statistics of 15.0 points per game, 3.2 rebounds per game, and 3.8 assists per game.
#2. Terrandus Smith, a 6'4'' guard/forward who is 27 years old and an alum of Bulldogs from 2020, showcased his talents last Saturday despite his team's loss. Playing professionally in Australia, Smith couldn't lift the Kalamunda Eastern Suns to a victory as they were narrowly defeated 79-76 on the road by the lower-ranked Giants (#12) in the West group. In a commendable effort, Smith contributed 16 points and 8 rebounds in 39 minutes of play. In a standout performance against Goldfields G, Smith once again displayed his skills by scoring 16 points, grabbing 8 rebounds, and providing 2 assists. However, despite his impressive contributions, Kalamunda Eastern Suns fell short in securing the win. Throughout the season, Smith has maintained high statistics, averaging 18.5 points, 5.7 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and 1.9 steals per game. His consistent performance highlights his impact on the team despite the recent loss. Notably, Smith has previously participated in the prestigious Eurobasket Summer League, known as a top summer league for players aspiring to compete in basketball overseas.
