Courtesy of Eurobasket LLC Every week we bring you a list of the top former SFU players who continue their career in pro basketball.
#1. Julian Roche (6'11''-C/F-1997, played in 2018-22, plays pro in Kosovo) contributed to a 1-point Rahoveci's victory against one of league's weakest teams Vellaznimi (1-4) 81-80 in the Kosovan Superliga on Monday night. He scored 10 points and blocked 2 blocks in 23 minutes. KB Rahoveci (2-3) is placed fifth in the Superliga. It was his team's first victory after three consecutive loses. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. It's Roche's first year with the team. Roche has relatively good stats this season 13.5ppg, 6.0rpg and 1.5spg.
#2. Jahmal Abbey-Wright (6'5''-G/F-1998, played in 2021-23, plays in Albania) led Teuta to a victory over the ninth-ranked Elbasani (1-5) 97-85 in the Albanian Superliga in Monday night's game. He was MVP of the game. Abbey-Wright scored 24 points, had 9 rebounds and dished 3 assists; quite an impressive performance considering it's only his third season in pro basketball. KB Teuta Durres (4-2) is placed fifth in the Superliga. Abbey-Wright's team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And that game will be critical. Abbey-Wright has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages 17.0ppg, 5.2rpg, 1.8apg and 1.7spg in six games he played so far.
#3. Kedar Salam N'Kosi (6'3''-G-1994, played in 2015-15, currently in Germany) was the major contributor in a 3-point wiha Panthers Schwenningen's victory against the fifth-ranked Reutlingen (4-2) 83-80 in the German Regionalliga (fourth division) last Saturday. N'Kosi scored 19 points in 35 minutes. wiha Panthers Schwenningen (7-0) is placed first in South-West group. So far his team won all seven games in the Regular Season. But the season just started, so everything may happen. This year N'Kosi has very high stats. He averages 22.9ppg, 3.6rpg, 1.3apg and 1.4spg. N'Kosi has also Jamaican citizenship.
#4. Jovan Rai (6'4''-G, played in 2020-25, plays pro in United Kingdom). He could not help Hemel Storm (1-4) to beat Knights (4-1) in the British BCB (second division). Rai's contribution was not very remarkable in Saturday's game. He scored only 2 points. The third-placed Hemel Storm (1-4) lost 87-96 on the road to the second-ranked Knights in the Group 2. It was Hemel Storm's third consecutive loss in a row. But the season is still in its first stage and everything can happen. It's Rai's first year with the team. This season Rai averages 1.0ppg and 2.0rpg in two games.
#5. David Penney (6'0''-PG, played in 2019-24, plays in Thailand) contributed to a Shoot it Dragons' victory against the eighth-ranked Reapers (4-6) 90-82 in the Thailand TGBL (third division) in Sunday night's game. He recorded 22 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists in 37 minutes; not bad, considering it's only Penney's second season in pro basketball. Shoot it Dragonsare placed eighth in Water Division. This season Penney has very high stats. He averages 18.0ppg, 6.5rpg, 5.0apg and 2.0spg.
