Courtesy of Eurobasket LLC Every week we bring you a list of the top former Razorbacks players who continue their career in pro basketball.
#1. Justin Smith, a 6'7'' forward who graduated from Arkansas in 2021 and was a key player in their championship win at the California Classic NBA Summer League in Sacramento that year, currently plays professionally in Israel. In a recent game, Smith, playing for Hapoel Bank Yahav Jerusalem, was unable to help his team secure a victory against Hapoel Tel-Aviv, despite his solid performance. The 27-year-old recorded 12 points and 2 rebounds in 26 minutes of gameplay. Despite his season average of 14.2 points per game, 5.1 rebounds per game, and 1.1 steals per game, Smith's efforts were not enough to lead his team to victory in the matchup against Hapoel Tel-Aviv.
#2. Jalen Graham, a 6'9'' forward and 25-year-old alum of the Razorbacks from 2024, currently playing professionally in Australia, took to the court for the Rockhampton Rockets (2-8) in their recent game. Despite his stellar performance, the 11th-placed Rockhampton Rockets were unable to secure a win as they were defeated 122-111 by the lower-ranked South West Metro Pirates (#13) in the North group. Graham showcased his skills by emerging as the top scorer of the game with an impressive 38 points. Additionally, he contributed 9 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 blocks during his 34 minutes on the court. Despite his remarkable individual performance, the team was unable to clinch the victory against the South West Metro Pirates. Throughout the season, Graham has maintained high statistics, averaging 22.0 points per game, 8.5 rebounds, 4.3 assists, 2.0 blocks, and 1.4 steals per game. His consistent performance and all-around contributions have made him a standout player in the league, even though the Rockhampton Rockets have faced challenges in securing wins.
#3. Makhi Mitchell, a 6'9'' forward/center who graduated from Arkansas in 2024 and now plays professionally in Mexico, showcased his prowess as a champion in leading Astros de Jalisco to a resounding 107-87 victory against the fifth-ranked Angeles. In an impressive display of skill, Mitchell recorded 20 points and 8 rebounds in just 27 minutes of play, highlighting his talent despite being only in his second season in professional basketball. Astros de Jalisco, currently holding the top spot in the league with a record of 38-2, secured their 14th consecutive win with Mitchell's stellar performance. His notable average statistics this season of 12.1 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 1.2 assists per game underscore his valuable contributions to the team's success. As a finalist, Mitchell's exceptional performance on the court against Angeles truly exemplified his capabilities and solidified his position as a key player for his team.
#4. In the recent game in the Mexican Circuito de Baloncesto de la Costa del Pacifico, Jeremiah Davenport, a 6'7'' guard and 26-year-old Razorbacks alum from 2024, faced the aforementioned Makhi Mitchell. Davenport played for Angeles de Ciudad de Mexico (20-20) but unfortunately couldn't help his team in their last game on Friday. Despite his strong performance, Angeles suffered a significant 107-87 defeat on the road against the top-ranked Astros. Davenport was the second-highest scorer in the game, contributing 16 points and grabbing 4 rebounds in 28 minutes of play. Despite his notable performance against the Astros, where he also added 1 assist, his team couldn't secure the win. Throughout this season, Davenport has been averaging 10.0 points per game and 3.3 rebounds per game, showcasing his consistent contribution to the team's efforts on the court.
