Every week we bring you a list of the top former Mustangs players who continue their career in pro basketball.
Notice impressive performance of Sterling Brown (20 points), Isiaha Mike (11 points), and Chuck Harris (18 points).

#1. Sterling Brown, a 6'6'' small forward who is 31 years old and graduated from SMU in 2017 after helping them secure the AAC Regular Season Champion title, currently plays professionally in Serbia. In the recent game, despite his commendable performance, he was unable to prevent Partizan (21-3) from losing 93-99 on the road to the formidable Dubai team. Brown showcased his skills by scoring 20 points and contributing 4 rebounds in just 25 minutes of play. His impressive performance included not only scoring but also showcasing his all-around game with 1 assist against Dubai. Although Brown has been maintaining relatively good stats this season with averages of 10.7 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game in the 29 games he has participated in so far, his efforts were not enough to secure a victory in the recent match.

#2. Canadian Isiaha Mike, a 6'7'' forward and a 28-year-old alumnus of the Mustangs from 2020, received the All-AAC Third Team award that year. Currently playing professionally in Germany, he recently played a crucial role in FC Bayern Muenchen Basketball's impressive 77-57 victory over Telekom Baskets, who were closely ranked at 21-13, in a German easyCredit BBL game on Thursday night. Mike, a standout performer, showcased his skills by scoring 11 points and securing 5 rebounds in just 21 minutes of play. This game was highly anticipated as it featured two top 4 ranked teams facing off. FC Bayern Muenchen Basketball, with a record of 29-5, sits at the top of the league standings, thanks in part to Mike's contributions. This victory marked the ninth consecutive win for Mike's team, underscoring their dominance in the league. His noteworthy performance against Bonn, where he scored 11 points and grabbed 5 rebounds, was pivotal in securing another win for his team. Mike's consistent contributions on the court have been instrumental in his team's success and have further established his reputation as a champion. Throughout this season, Mike has maintained impressive averages of 9.1 points, 4.1 rebounds, 1.3 assists, and 1.1 steals per game across 36 games played so far. His all-around skills and dedication to excellence continue to make him a key player for FC Bayern Muenchen Basketball as they strive for further success in the league.

#3. Chuck Harris, a 24-year-old guard standing at 6'2'' and an SMU graduate in 2025, is currently playing professionally in Germany. Recently, he showcased his skills by leading his team, Bozic Estriche Knights Kirchheim, to a thrilling 86-82 victory over league leaders Phoenix Hagen in the German BARMER 2. Basketball Bundesliga ProA on Thursday night. Harris, the MVP of the game, displayed an impressive performance, scoring 18 points and providing 5 assists in just 29 minutes of play. This remarkable display is even more notable as it is his first season in professional basketball. Bozic Estriche Knights Kirchheim, currently in sixth place in the league with a record of 20-14, greatly benefited from Harris' standout performance. In the game against Phoenix Hagen, Harris not only scored 18 points but also contributed with 3 rebounds and 5 assists, proving instrumental in securing the victory for his team. With an impressive season average of 13.9 points per game, 3.2 rebounds per game, and 4.0 assists per game in 35 games, Harris has consistently delivered strong performances throughout the season. His exceptional skills and leadership qualities have rightfully earned him the title of a champion in the eyes of fans and teammates alike.

#4. Australian Tom Wilson, a 6'5'' guard and 28-year-old alumnus of the Mustangs from 2017, played a crucial role in helping them secure the AAC Regular Season Champion title that year. Currently playing professionally in Australia, Wilson recently showcased his skills for the Melbourne Tigers but couldn't lead them to victory in their last game. Despite his impressive performance, the fourth-placed Melbourne Tigers (10-4) suffered a 75-83 defeat to the lower-ranked (#7) Cavaliers in the South group at Cranbourne. In the game, Wilson stood out as the top scorer with 26 points, accompanied by 4 rebounds and 5 assists in 34 minutes of play. Although he put on a remarkable performance against Casey C., contributing significantly with his scoring, rebounding, and playmaking abilities, his team fell short of securing the win. Throughout the season, Wilson has maintained high individual statistics, averaging 20.9 points, 4.9 rebounds, 5.1 assists, and 1.3 steals per game across 14 appearances. His consistent contributions have undoubtedly made him a standout player in the league.

#5. Canadian basketball champion Emmanuel Bandoumel, a 6'4'' guard aged 28, a graduate of Nebraska in 2023 who previously played for SMU between 2019 and 2022, showcased his skills in the recent game for the Edmonton Stingers. Despite his stellar performance as the top scorer with 20 points and contributing 7 rebounds in 28 minutes, the Stingers (#3) were narrowly defeated 87-86 by the Honey Badgers in Hamilton. It was a valiant effort by Bandoumel, demonstrating his capabilities in only his third season in professional basketball. Although the team faced a setback, Bandoumel's resilience and determination shone through, reflecting the spirit of a true finalist. In a previous game against Brampton, Bandoumel once again displayed his prowess on the court, tallying 20 points, 7 rebounds, and 2 assists. Despite his remarkable individual performance, the team fell short of victory. Bandoumel's consistent contributions underscore his potential as a champion player, even in the face of adversity. As the season progresses, there is still ample opportunity for Bandoumel and the Stingers to turn the tide and strive for success. Throughout this season, Bandoumel has maintained an average of 8.6 points per game, 4.4 rebounds per game, 3.0 assists per game, and 1.3 steals per game across seven matchups. His statistics reflect his growing impact on the team and his evolving role as a key player in the Stingers' lineup.

#6. Marcus Weathers, a 6'7'' guard/forward and 28-year-old alum of the Mustangs class of 2022, currently plays professionally in Colombia. In a recent game, Weathers, despite his notable performance, was unable to help the Paisas (9-5) secure a victory against the top-ranked Toros, as they lost 73-78 on their home court. Weathers stood out as the second-highest scorer for the Paisas, contributing 17 points along with 8 rebounds and 3 blocks during his 39 minutes on the court. His impressive display of skills was evident as he showcased his scoring ability and prowess in rebounding against the formidable Toros. Despite his individual efforts, Weathers and the Paisas fell short in their bid for a win. Throughout the season, Weathers has maintained high statistics, averaging 16.4 points, 8.3 rebounds, 1.2 assists, and leading the league with 1.2 blocks per game in the 20 games played so far. His consistent performance highlights his impact on the team and his prowess as a standout player in the league.

#7. Canadian basketball player Keon Ambrose-Hylton, a 6'8'' forward aged 24, who graduated from SMU in 2025, is currently playing professionally in Canada. Recently, he was recognized with the USBasket.com All-CEBL League Honorable Mention award for his outstanding performance. In a recent game, Ambrose-Hylton played a pivotal role in the Brampton Honey Badgers' victory over the River Lions with a score of 97-86 in the Canadian Elite Basketball League. During the game, he showcased his skills by scoring 7 points, securing 7 rebounds, and making 2 blocks in the span of 34 minutes. Furthermore, Ambrose-Hylton demonstrated his versatility and talent in another game against Niagara, where he scored 7 points, grabbed 7 rebounds, and provided 1 assist. His exceptional performance not only highlighted his individual capabilities but also underscored his importance to the team's success. His consistent contributions on the court have been crucial in leading his team to triumph, underscoring his role as a champion. Throughout the current season, Ambrose-Hylton has maintained impressive averages of 6.0 points, 4.8 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and 1.2 blocks per game across five games.
