Courtesy of Eurobasket LLC Here is the weekly review of the top performing Sharks alumni, who are currently playing in pro basketball.
Especially interesting is good performance of Shane Hunter (9 points), Ryker Cisarik (14 points), and Tyler Eberhart (7 points).
#1. Shane Hunter, a 24-year-old forward/center standing at 6'10" and a graduate of Nova Southeastern University in 2024, currently plays professionally in Poland. Recently, he made a significant impact in Legia Warszawa's latest match against the fifth-ranked Dziki, where his team emerged victorious with a score of 91-78 in a thrilling derby game in the Polish Orlen Basket Liga on Monday night. Despite playing for only 17 minutes, Hunter managed to showcase his talent by contributing 9 points to the team's win. Legia Warszawa, currently sitting at the top of the league with a record of 22-8, has been on a winning streak, with this latest triumph marking their seventh consecutive victory. This season marks Hunter's debut with the team, and his performance against Dziki further solidified his reputation as a champion. In addition to his 9-point contribution, Hunter also secured 3 rebounds and provided 1 assist during the game. With an average of 9.2 points per game, 5.2 rebounds per game, and 1.3 blocks per game (ranking him as the fourth-best shot blocker in the league), Hunter has been an instrumental player for Legia Warszawa this season. His consistent performance on the court demonstrates why he is considered a finalist in the league's top-tier players.
#2. Ryker Cisarik, a former Sharks alumnus from 2025 standing at an impressive 6'9'' and playing as a forward, has transitioned into the professional basketball scene in the Czech Republic. In a recent game, Cisarik led Brno to a thrilling 99-97 victory over the fifth-ranked Opava in the Czech Republic Maxa NBL. Despite it being his rookie season, Cisarik showcased his skills by contributing 14 points and 8 rebounds in just 26 minutes of play. This stellar performance not only helped secure the win for his team but also highlighted his potential as a finalist. Basket Brno currently holds the third position in the Places 1-8 group, with a solid record of 23-13. Cisarik's arrival has undoubtedly made an impact on the team, as he continues to impress with his on-court abilities. His noteworthy stats for the season include averaging 11.3 points, 7.0 rebounds, 1.7 assists, and 1.1 steals per game. Cisarik's remarkable display against Opava further cements his position as a champion in the making. As he continues to excel in his debut season with Brno, his future in the professional basketball world looks promising.
#3. Tyler Eberhart, a 6'7'' forward who graduated from Nova SE in 2025 and helped them win the SSC Regular Season Champion that year, currently plays professionally in Portugal. Although Eberhart couldn't lead CAB Madeira (9-5) to a victory against Povoa (11-3) in the Portuguese Proliga (second division), he displayed a commendable performance on the court. Despite scoring 7 points, grabbing 5 rebounds, and dishing out 2 assists in 34 minutes of play, his team, the third-placed CAB Madeira, suffered a 90-72 defeat on the road against the top-ranked Povoa in the Places 1-8 group. This marks Eberhart's first season with the team. Individually, Eberhart is having a standout season with impressive statistics, averaging 16.8 points, 6.1 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 1.3 steals per game. Although his team fell short in the recent game against Povoa, Eberhart's consistent performance showcases his skills and contribution to CAB Madeira's campaign in the league.
#4. Puerto Rican player GianFranco Grafals, standing at 6'4'' and a Sharks alumni from 2024, was a pivotal part of their success in claiming the SSC Regular Season Champion title that year. Currently playing professionally in Puerto Rico, Grafals recently faced a challenging match with his team, Mets de Guaynabo, against the Leones in the Puerto Rican Baloncesto Superior Nacional. Despite his efforts, Grafals and his team fell short against the Leones, with Grafals only contributing one point in 9 minutes on the court. The Mets de Guaynabo, who are currently in fourth place with a record of 12-13, suffered a tough loss of 101-78 to the lower-ranked Leones in Group B. Although Grafals managed to score a point during the game, it was not enough to secure a victory for his team. This season, Grafals has been averaging 2.0 points per game, showing his determination to contribute to his team's success in future matches.
#5. Experienced Australian Robert Huntington, a 6'8'' center/forward aged 35, who graduated from Nova SE in 2012 and received the Division II Academic All-District 5 Team award that year, currently plays professionally in Australia. In a recent Australian NBL One match, Huntington, a standout player for Kalamunda Eastern Suns (9-4), faced tough competition against Wanneroo (11-3), the second-ranked team in the league's West group. Despite his efforts, Huntington could not lead Kalamunda Eastern Suns to victory, as they were defeated 124-118 by Wanneroo in Joondalup. During the game, Huntington contributed with 4 points, 5 rebounds, and 1 assist in 15 minutes of play. His individual performance showcased his skills on the court, but unfortunately, it was not enough to secure a win for his team. Throughout the season, Huntington has maintained solid averages of 4.7 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game. As a key player for the Kalamunda Eastern Suns, he continues to demonstrate his talent and commitment to the team, aiming to lead them to success in future matches.
