#1. Troy Cracknell, a 27-year-old guard standing at 6'4" who graduated from Augusta in 2022 and played a pivotal role in helping them secure the PeachBelt Regular Season Championship that year, currently plays professionally in the Dominican Republic. Recently, he led his team, Metros de Santiago, to a remarkable victory against the league leader Reales with a score of 91-78 in the Dominican Rep. Liga Nacional de Baloncesto on Sunday night. During the game, Cracknell showcased his talent by contributing 16 points and 3 assists in 31 minutes of play. This matchup was highly anticipated as it featured two top 3 ranked teams in group Places 1-6, with Metros de Santiago, holding a 13-4 record, positioned third in the standings. With only one more game left in the Second Stage, Cracknell's performance against Reales was crucial for his team's success as they aim to secure their position in the upcoming finals. Throughout the season, Cracknell has maintained solid statistics, averaging 14.3 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game, further solidifying his reputation as a standout player in the league. His contributions on the court were instrumental in leading Metros de Santiago to victory, positioning them as strong contenders for the championship title.
#2. Australian Benjamin Ursich, a 6'5'' guard/forward who is 29 years old and an alumnus of the Jaguars from 2017 when he helped them become the PeachBelt East Division Regular Season Champion, currently plays professionally in Australia. In a recent game for Kilsyth Cobras, despite Ursich's strong performance, the team was unable to secure a victory. Ursich scored 15 points, grabbed 4 rebounds, and played for 37 minutes as his team, currently ranked tenth, was narrowly defeated 96-93 by the second-ranked Raiders in the South group. This marked Ursich's ninth season with the team. In a standout performance against Knox Raiders, Ursich once again showcased his skills by scoring 15 points, grabbing 4 rebounds, and dishing out 2 assists. However, his contributions were not enough to lead his team to victory on that occasion. Throughout this season, Ursich has been averaging 5.2 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 1.1 assist per game.
