#1. Brandon Sly (5'11''-PG-1996, played in 2016-18, plays pro in Montenegro) led his Montenegrin team Podgorica to a victory over the second-ranked Spartak (4-1) 78-67 in the ABA League in Wednesday night's game. He was MVP of the game. Sly recorded 22 points, 6 assists and 3 steals (made all of his six free throws) in 40 minutes. KK Podgorica Bemax (3-2) is placed sixth in the ABA League. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. It's Sly's first season with the team. He has relatively good stats this year 13.0ppg, 2.7rpg and 4.7apg in three games he played so far.
#2. Kaelin Crane (6'6''-G/F-1998, played in 2019-22, plays in Azerbaijan) contributed to an easy victory against one of league's weakest teams Serhedci (1-3) crushing them 112-89 in a derby game in the Azerbaijani ABL last Sunday. He recorded 7 points. Sabah BK Baku (3-0) is placed second in the ABL. So far his team won all three games in the Regular Season. They will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And that game will be critical. This season Crane averages 5.0ppg, 1.3rpg and 2.3apg.
#3. Shakir Smith (6'1''-PG-1992, played in 2014-16, currently in Kazakhstan) was the main contributor in Aktobe's victory against the seventh-ranked Barsy Atyrau (1-5) 98-97 in the Kazakhstan National League on Tuesday night. Smith was MVP of the game. He recorded 32 points (!!!) and added 7 passes in 30 minutes. Aktobe (5-1) is placed first in the National League. It was his team's fifth consecutive victory in a row. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. It's Smith's first year with the team. Smith has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages 16.2ppg, 2.2rpg, 3.8apg and 2.5spg in six games.
