#1. Ibrahim Watson-Boye, a 6'5'' guard/forward aged 28, who graduated from Dayton in 2021 and received the All-Atlantic 10 Third Team award that year, currently plays professionally in Germany. In a recent German easyCredit BBL game, he played a crucial role in leading his team, the Bamberg Baskets, to a significant 81-73 victory over the closely-ranked ALBA Berlin, who had a record of 24-10. This game, which was considered the highlight of the round as it featured two top 4 ranked teams, saw Watson-Boye shine as he scored 18 points in 36 minutes of play. The Bamberg Baskets, holding a 24-10 record themselves, are currently placed third in the league standings. This victory marked the seventh consecutive win for Watson-Boye's team, showcasing their strong form. His standout performance against ALBA included not only his scoring but also contributions in rebounding and assists, with 3 rebounds and 1 assist to his name. Watson-Boye's exceptional display of skills and determination on the court undoubtedly played a significant role in securing the win for his team, further solidifying his status as a champion. Individually, Watson-Boye has been having an impressive season, boasting high statistics. He currently maintains an average of 15.9 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game across the 40 games he has played so far. His consistent performance and valuable contributions highlight his prowess as a finalist in the league.
#2. Enoch Cheeks, a 6'3'' guard who is 25 years old and an alumnus of the Flyers from 2025, is currently playing professionally in Belgium. Despite being in his first season in pro basketball, Cheeks has already made a significant impact. In a recent game, he played a crucial role in Windrose Giants Antwerp's victory over Oostende, one of the weaker teams in the Belgian Pro Basketball League. In that game, Cheeks scored 18 points, grabbed 2 rebounds, and provided 4 assists in 32 minutes of play, showcasing his talent and potential. His performance against Oostende highlights his capabilities as a champion player, contributing effectively to his team's success. Windrose Giants Antwerp, currently placed second in the league, is benefiting from Cheeks' impressive averages this season, including 9.6 points per game, 5.6 rebounds per game (the second-best in the league), 2.3 assists per game, and 2.4 steals per game (leading the league in steals). These statistics demonstrate Cheeks' versatility and impact on the court. In Tuesday night's game, the Czech Republic champion Matej Svoboda, a 29-year-old forward standing at 6'7" who graduated from Dayton in 2018 and currently plays professionally in the Czech Republic, led his team, ERA Basketball Nymburk, to a crucial 81-73 victory over the second-ranked team Pardubice in the Czech Republic Maxa NBL. This match marked a showdown between two top 3 ranked teams in group Places 1-8. Svoboda's impressive performance included scoring 11 points, grabbing 3 rebounds, and dishing out 2 assists in 28 minutes of play, contributing significantly to his team's success. This win extended Nymburk's winning streak to six consecutive games, solidifying their first-place position in the league with a record of 32-4. Svoboda's consistent performance throughout the season has been noteworthy, averaging 10.0 points per game (ranking fourth in the league), along with 2.8 rebounds and 2.0 assists over the course of 45 games. His leadership on the court was instrumental in guiding Nymburk to victory, ultimately helping them emerge as the champion of the game and maintain their strong position in the league standings as they aim for further success in the season.
#4. Jalen Crutcher, a 6'2'' guard and 26-year-old Flyers alumnus from 2021, has been excelling in his professional basketball career in Puerto Rico. Recently, he showcased his skills by leading Leones de Ponce to a resounding victory over the fourth-ranked Mets with a score of 101-78 in a game of the Puerto Rican Baloncesto Superior Nacional. In this impressive performance, he not only emerged as the MVP of the game but also scored a remarkable 26 points, secured 6 rebounds, and provided 6 assists during his 36 minutes on the court. Currently, Leones de Ponce holds the fourth position in Group A, with Crutcher playing a pivotal role in securing their third consecutive win. Demonstrating his exceptional talent, he has been instrumental in his team's success, showcasing an average of 16.4 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 5.9 assists per game throughout the season. Crutcher's outstanding contributions have undoubtedly positioned him as a standout champion in the league, solidifying his reputation as a top-tier player.
#5. Malachi Smith, a 6'1'' guard who graduated from UConn in 2026 and previously played for Dayton between 2021 and 2025, is currently showcasing his skills as a professional player in Puerto Rico. In a recent game, Smith, despite his solid performance, could not help Capitanes de Arecibo, the team he plays for, in their match against the Criollos. The Capitanes, currently in second place with a record of 14-9, suffered a crushing 113-79 defeat on the road to the Criollos, who hold the second rank in Group A. Smith emerged as the second-highest scorer for the Capitanes with 13 points, accompanied by 3 assists, all achieved in just 17 minutes of play. Unfortunately, this marked the fourth consecutive loss for Capitanes de Arecibo, a challenging streak for the team. Despite the team's struggles, Smith stood out in a previous game against Caguas, contributing 13 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 assists. However, his remarkable individual performance was not enough to secure a victory for his team. Throughout this season, Smith has maintained an average of 4.7 points, 1.9 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game across nine appearances. His contributions on the court continue to be essential for Capitanes de Arecibo as they strive for success in the league.
#6. Zed Key, a 6'8'' forward and 24-year-old Flyers alumnus from 2025, is currently playing professionally in the Czech Republic. In a recent Czech Republic Maxa NBL game, he faced the previously mentioned finalist, Matej Svoboda. Unfortunately, despite Key's efforts, he was unable to help Pardubice secure a win against Nymburk. Key managed to score 6 points and grab 1 rebound in his 19 minutes on the court, but his team ultimately lost 73-81. Throughout the season, Key has maintained relatively good statistics, averaging 12.8 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 1.6 blocks per game, which ranks him as the second-best shot blocker in the league. In his 46 games played so far, Key has demonstrated his skills as a champion player, contributing consistently to his team's performance.
