Courtesy of Eurobasket LLC Here is the weekly review of the top performing Knights alumni, who are currently playing in pro basketball.
Especially interesting is good performance of Bryce Baez (0 points), Merouane Yahya (0 points), and Brodie Crown (0 points).
#1. In the recent game, Bryce Baez, a 6'7'' forward who graduated from Edinboro in 2026 and previously played at N.Platte CC between 2023 and 2024, showcased his skills for Reales. Despite his exceptional performance, the fourth-placed Reales (10-11) were narrowly defeated 83-80 on the road by the third-ranked Caneros in the Places 1-6 group. Baez led the scoring for his team with 24 points, accompanied by 6 rebounds and 3 assists in just 28 minutes of play. This remarkable display is particularly noteworthy as it is Baez's inaugural season in professional basketball. Although Baez's contributions were significant, Reales fell short of securing the victory against the Caneros. Throughout this season, Baez has maintained an average of 4.3 points per game and 2.4 rebounds per game in the ten games he has participated in so far.
#2. Algeria's Merouane Yahya, a 6'2'' guard who is 23 years old and a Knights alumnus from 2023, currently plays professionally in Algeria. In a recent match, Yahya, despite his best efforts, could not lead Nadi Basket (20-6) to a victory over Widad (17-9) in the Algeria Division I. He contributed 7 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 assists during his 23 minutes on the court. The league-leading Nadi Basket ultimately suffered a narrow 66-70 defeat at the hands of the second-ranked Widad. Yahya displayed a commendable performance against Widad, showcasing his skills by scoring 7 points, securing 4 rebounds, and distributing 2 assists. Nonetheless, his standout performance was not enough to secure a win for his team. Throughout this season, Yahya has maintained solid averages of 8.4 points, 3.4 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and 1.4 steals per game in the 33 games he has played so far.
#3. Australian Brodie Crown, a 22-year-old forward who graduated from N. Platte CC in 2024 and now plays professionally in Australia, recently played for the Northside Wizards in a game against the Phoenix in the Australian NBL One. Despite his efforts, Crown and his team were unable to secure the victory against the much higher-ranked Phoenix, who currently hold the third position in the North group standings. In this particular game, Crown scored only 2 points and grabbed 1 rebound in 5 minutes on the court, making it a challenging match for him. As a result, Northside Wizards, currently in the tenth position with a record of 3-6, lost to the Phoenix with a score of 80-84 at Cotton Tree. This game may not be considered one of Crown's best performances, considering his limited playing time and contribution on the stat sheet. Despite this, Crown continues to work hard, maintaining an average of 1.0 points per game and 1.8 rebounds per game over the course of nine games this season as he strives to improve and support his team in their pursuit of success.
#4. Aaron Ridley III, a 6'6'' forward and Bulldogs alumnus from 2022 who also played at N. Platte CC between 2017 and 2018 before turning pro in Australia, showcased his skills as the main contributor in Northern Force's recent victory against the 16th-ranked Pioneers in the Australian NBL One. In a standout performance, Ridley III, the game's MVP, delivered an impressive 27 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 assists in 35 minutes on the court, leading his team to a 104-91 win. His remarkable display not only secured the victory but also highlighted his capabilities as a standout player and a true champion. With Northern Force currently ranked 17th in the South group, Ridley III's consistent performance throughout the season, averaging 14.2 points, 2.8 rebounds, 1.9 assists, and 1.2 steals per game in 13 appearances, has been instrumental in the team's efforts.
