In 1998 the USBL split all teams into three groups Mid-Atlantic Division, North Division and South Division.
Washington Congressionals, New Jersey Shorecats and Columbus Cagerz joined the USBL for 1998 season.
In 1998 Philadelphia Power changed its name to Camden Power.
Camden Power folded after 1998 season.
