The Chicago Fury are the 2023 MBL CHAMPS!!! It wasn't easy as the DFW Gorillas fought back being down fifteen points with 4 minutes left in the fourth quarter to send the game into overtime. The Fury were led by C- Khapri Alston (6'6''-PF-1994, college: Midwestern St., agency: BIG) and G- Devante Jones (5'10''-PG-1994, college: Life). The Gorillas had a chance to seal the game by G- A'Daeron Duncan (6'6''-G/F-1987, college: NKU) with a floater from the right side of the basket that went halfway down and came out. F/C Dayton Mickens (6'8''-F-1991, college: UAM) (DFW Gorillas) hit a three from top of the key with 6.5 seconds left to put the Gorillas up one. Of course the Fury called a timeout to advance the ball which led to an airball from the left corner three by Brandon Daughtry, but Forward Kurt Hall (6'5''-F) was in the right place at the right time to catch the rebound and put it back for the win. The Chicago Fury will have their championship ring ceremony during their home opener for the 2023/24 season.
