#1. David DeJulius, a 26-year-old point guard standing at 6'0'' who graduated from Cincinnati in 2023 and received the All-AAC Third Team award that year, is currently playing professionally in Spain. In a recent game, he led Universidad Catolica de Murcia CB to a resounding 116-95 victory over the 14th-ranked Lleida team in the Spanish Liga Endesa. Displaying exceptional skill and determination, DeJulius was named the MVP of the game after scoring an impressive 27 points and providing 4 assists in just 24 minutes of play. Despite only being in his third season of professional basketball, DeJulius showcased his talent and leadership on the court, guiding his team to their third consecutive victory. Universidad Catolica de Murcia CB, with a record of 25-9, currently holds the fourth position in the league standings. The Regular Season has already concluded, and this marks DeJulius' first year with the team. DeJulius' outstanding performance against Lleida highlights his capabilities as a champion, contributing significantly to his team's success. His remarkable season statistics further underscore his impact, averaging 17.5 points per game (the second-best in the league), along with 1.8 rebounds and 4.3 assists in the 35 games he has played thus far. It is worth noting that David DeJulius, a naturalized American player, continues to impress with his skills and contributions on the basketball court, solidifying his status as a standout finalist in the league.
#2. Ody Oguama, a 6'9'' forward and Bearcats alumni from 2024, showcased his skills in the recent game for Dziki Warszawa, the team he currently plays for in Poland. Despite his solid performance, scoring 10 points, grabbing 7 rebounds, and providing 1 assist in 29 minutes of play, Dziki Warszawa was narrowly defeated 78-76 by the top-ranked Legia in a thrilling derby match. This loss marked a break in Dziki Warszawa's winning streak of five consecutive victories. This season marks Oguama's debut with Dziki Warszawa, where he has been contributing an average of 6.7 points and 5.4 rebounds per game across the 37 games he has participated in so far. Originally from Nigeria, Oguama has adapted well to his new team and has been a valuable addition to their roster. Despite the recent setback, Ody Oguama's talent and dedication as a player make him a key asset for Dziki Warszawa as they continue to strive for success in the league.
#3. Experienced Polish center Adam Hrycaniuk, standing at 6'9'' and 42 years old, is a renowned player who graduated from Cincinnati in 2008 and currently plays professionally in Poland. Recently, despite his efforts, he was unable to lead AMW Arka Gdynia to victory against Zastal in the Polish Orlen Basket Liga. During the game, Hrycaniuk contributed 4 points in just 10 minutes of play. Unfortunately, his team was narrowly defeated by Zastal with a close score of 85-83, on the road, by the lower-ranked Zastal (#8). This marks Hrycaniuk's seventh season with AMW Arka Gdynia. Despite his modest performance of 4 points and 2 rebounds against Zastal, he was not able to secure the win for his team. Throughout this season, he has been averaging 2.7 points per game and 1.8 rebounds per game in the 35 matches he has played so far.
#4. Jarron Cumberland, a 6'5'' guard and 28-year-old alumnus of the Bearcats from the class of 2020, was instrumental in helping his team achieve the title of AAC Regular Season Co-Champion that year. Currently playing professionally in Israel, Cumberland recently participated in a game for M.Raanana, who unfortunately suffered a defeat against the leading Ironi Nes-Ziona in the Places 11-14 group, with a final score of 96-70. Despite Cumberland's strong performance, contributing 10 points and 1 rebound in just 15 minutes, M.Raanana was unable to secure a victory. In the game, Cumberland showcased his skills by scoring 10 points, successfully converting all five of his free throws. Despite his individual efforts, his team was unable to overcome the strong opposition. Throughout this season, Cumberland has been averaging 5.5 points per game and 1.5 rebounds per game across four games.
#5. Jacob Evans III, a 28-year-old guard standing at 6'5'' and a graduate of the University of Cincinnati in 2018, has been showcasing his skills playing professionally in the Czech Republic. Despite his contributions, Pardubice (27-9) fell short against Nymburk (32-4) in the Czech Republic Maxa NBL, losing 73-81 on the road. In that game, Evans III managed to score 7 points in 20 minutes of play, along with 1 rebound and 1 assist. While his individual performance was notable, it was not enough to lead his team to victory. Throughout this season, Evans III has been averaging 4.0 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per game over 22 appearances. His experience as a former AAC Regular Season Champion finalist has undoubtedly contributed to his professional career as he continues to strive for success on the court.
#6. Robert Phinisee, a 6'1'' guard and 26-year-old Bearcats alum from the class of 2023, showcased his prowess in the TBL by leading 4 Bears Roar to a resounding victory over the Willamette Valley Jaguars with a scoreline of 156-79 last Friday. Phinisee's stellar performance earned him the MVP title for the game, where he achieved a double-double by scoring 32 points, securing 10 rebounds, and contributing 8 assists in just 24 minutes of play. His exceptional display against the Willamette Valley Jaguars, where he scored 32 points, grabbed 10 rebounds, and dished out 8 assists, was instrumental in guiding his team to victory as the champion. Throughout the season, Phinisee has maintained impressive individual statistics, averaging 16.4 points per game, 5.4 rebounds per game, 4.6 assists per game, and 1.4 steals per game across 14 games.
#7. Coreontae DeBerry, a 6'10'' center and a 31-year-old graduate of Cincinnati in 2016, played a crucial role in helping them become the Thailand Basketball League Champion that year. Currently playing professionally in the TBL, DeBerry recently showcased his talents for the Lebanon Leprechauns. In their last game against the Bobkats, despite his stellar performance, the Lebanon Leprechauns suffered a close defeat of 147-152 in Kokomo. During the game, DeBerry displayed his skills by contributing 18 points and securing 6 rebounds in just 18 minutes of play. Despite his noteworthy effort, the Lebanon Leprechauns fell short against the Bobkats. Nevertheless, DeBerry's performance exemplified his prowess as a champion on the court. Throughout the season, DeBerry has maintained solid statistics with an average of 11.6 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 1.2 assists per game in 25 appearances. His consistent contributions and standout performances further solidify his reputation as a formidable player in the league.
#8. Jeremiah Davenport, a 6'7'' guard who is 26 years old and an alumnus of the Razorbacks from 2024, previously played for Cincinnati between 2019 and 2023 before joining a professional team in Mexico. In a recent game, he led Angeles de Ciudad de Mexico to a thrilling 112-107 victory over the closely-ranked Tijuana Zonkeys in the Mexican Circuito de Baloncesto de la Costa del Pacifico. Davenport displayed his talent by scoring 17 points, grabbing 2 rebounds, and making 2 assists in the game, contributing significantly to his team's success. His remarkable performance on the court once again highlighted his abilities as a champion player. Throughout this year, Davenport has maintained an average of 9.8 points per game and 3.3 rebounds per game in 47 games, showcasing his consistency and skill as a finalist.
