#1. Broderick Robinson (6'1''-G-1995, played in 2016-18, plays pro in Portugal) was the major contributor in Braga's victory against the closely-ranked Oliveirense (2-3) 66-63 in the Portuguese Liga Betclic on Sunday night. He scored 11 points, made 5 passes and 4 steals in 25 minutes. It was his first game for Braga this season. His team is placed seventh in the Liga Betclic. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. It's Robinson's first year with the team.
#2. Robert Whitfield (6'3''-G-1997, played in 2018-20, plays in Chile) led Puerto Varas to an easy victory against the leader Valdivia (6-4) 89-74 in the Chilean LNB in Saturday night's game. He scored 15 points, grabbed 5 rebounds and dished 8 assists. Club Deportes Puerto Varas (4-6) is placed fifth in Sur group. It was his team's first victory after three consecutive loses. Whitfield has relatively good stats this year 12.6ppg, 3.4rpg, 4.4apg and 1.9spg in seven games he played so far.
#3. Khristion Courseault (6'2''-G, played in 2023-24, currently in Portugal), who plays in the Portuguese Liga Betclic could not help the league outsider Galitos-Barreiro (0-5) in their game last Sunday. Despite Courseault's good performance Galitos-Barreiro was crushed127-86 at home by the second-ranked Sporting. He scored 10 points and added 5 assists in 24 minutes. But the season just started, so everything may happen. It's Courseault's first year with the team. This season Courseault averages 9.8ppg, 1.8rpg, 5.8apg and 1.3spg.
#4. Jordan Giles (6'7''-F-1998, played in 2016-20, plays pro in Japan) was not able to help Gifu Swoops (6-6) in their last game. Despite Giles' very good performance Gifu Swoops were edged65-64 on the road by the higher-ranked (#3) Try Hoop. He was the second best scorer with 17 points. Giles also added 7 rebounds. But the season is still in its first stage and everything can happen. It's Giles' first year with the team. This season he averages 8.8ppg, 3.1rpg and 2.1apg in 12 games.
#5. Evan Gilyard II (5'11''-PG-1998, played in 2021-22, plays in the NBA G League) contributed to a Memphis Hustle's victory against the Capitanes de Ciudad de Mexico (0-2) 109-103 in the NBA G League in Sunday night's game. Gilyard II scored 10 points and added 4 assists in 26 minutes. The Memphis Hustle has 2-0 record this season. But the season is still in its first stage and everything can happen. It's Gilyard II's first year with the team. This season he averages 8.5ppg, 1.5rpg and 2.0apg. He is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas.
