#1. John Ittounas (6'3''-G-2002, played in 2021-22, plays pro in Greece) could not help Peristeri (6-5) in their last game. Despite his good performance Peristeri was badly defeated89-72 in a derby game by the second-ranked Panathinaikos. Ittounas scored 12 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 25 minutes. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. It's Ittounas' first year with the team. This season he averages 4.8ppg and 1.2rpg in five games he played so far.
#2. Ilija Varajic (6'6''-F-2002, played in 2023-24, plays in Montenegro) contributed to Sutjeska's victory against one of league's weakest teams Ulcinj (0-4) 83-75 in the Montenegrin Erste Liga on Saturday night. He recorded 6 points. KK Sutjeska Niksic (4-0) is placed fourth in the Erste Liga. So far his team won all four games in the Regular Season. But the season just started, so everything may happen. It's Varajic's first year with the team. This season Varajic averages 3.7ppg and 2.7spg.
#3. Jalen Shaw (6'10''-F-2000, played in 2018-20, currently in Azerbaijan) contributed to an easy victory against the closely-ranked Kalev/Cramo (1-3) crushing them 101-71 in the FIBA Europe Cup in Wednesday night's game. He recorded 7 points, 14 rebounds and 2 blocks in 27 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Absheron Baku (1-3) is placed third in the FIBA Europe Cup. It was his team's first victory after three consecutive loses. There are only two games left until the end of the FIBA Europe Cup Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. This year Shaw averages 5.0ppg and 7.0rpg in six games.
#4. Cobie Montgomery (6'4''-G, played in 2021-22, plays pro in Azerbaijan) was not able to help the league outsider NTD in their game against Neftci (2-2) in the Azerbaijani ABL. Montgomery scored 9 points. But the sixth-placed NTD (0-7) was crushed99-71 in a derby game by the higher-ranked Neftci (#4) in the Grupa A group. So far NTD lost all seven games in the Regular Season. The Regular Season already ended. Montgomery has relatively good stats this season 14.2ppg, 4.2rpg and 2.3apg.
