Look at great performance of Stephan Swenson (14 points), Jordan Wood (20 points), and Aubin Gateretse (8 points).
#1. Belgian basketball player Stephan Swenson, a 6'2'' guard who is 23 years old, graduated from UCSB in 2025. Prior to that, he played for Stetson University from 2020 to 2024, where he notably helped them win the A-Sun Tournament in his final year. Swenson now competes professionally in Portugal, playing for Sporting Clube de Portugal Lisboa. In a recent game against the seventh-ranked Esgueira, Swenson showcased his skills by leading Sporting to a dominant 109-67 victory. Despite it being his first season in professional basketball, Swenson had an outstanding performance, contributing 14 points and 5 assists in just 21 minutes of play. This remarkable display helped secure the win for his team, positioning them as the champion of the game. Sporting Clube de Portugal Lisboa, with a current record of 17-5, holds the second spot in the league standings. Swenson's arrival has certainly made an impact in his debut season with the team, evident from his consistent contributions on the court. Throughout the season, he has maintained an average of 9.0 points, 1.9 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game, showcasing his versatility and value to the team as a finalist.
#2. Jordan Wood, a 24-year-old forward standing at 6'10'' and an alum of Hatters from 2025, currently playing professionally in Austria, was unable to assist UBSC Raiffeisen Graz (17-13) in their recent game on Sunday. Despite Wood's commendable performance, the fifth-placed UBSC Graz (17-13) experienced an 88-83 defeat on the road against the leading Kapfenberg Bulls in the Places 1-6 group. Wood showcased his skills by being the second-best scorer of the game with 20 points and contributing 6 rebounds in 36 minutes of play. His notable performance against Kapfenberg included scoring 20 points, securing 6 rebounds, and providing 1 assist. However, despite his impressive individual efforts, his team ultimately fell short and ended up on the losing side. Throughout the season, Wood has maintained relatively good statistics, averaging 12.3 points per game, 4.3 rebounds per game, and 1.5 assists per game.
#3. Belgian Aubin Gateretse, a 6'11'' forward/center who is 24 years old, graduated from Utah St. in 2025 after playing for Stetson between 2021 and 2024. During his time at Stetson, he was instrumental in helping them become the A-Sun Tournament champions in 2024. Currently, Gateretse is playing professionally in Belgium and is a key player for Hubo Limburg United. In a recent BNXT League match, Gateretse's team Hubo Limburg United emerged victorious against the closely-ranked Okapi Aalst with a score of 99-85. Despite playing for only 16 minutes, Gateretse managed to score 8 crucial points. This win marked his team's eighth consecutive victory, showcasing their impressive form towards the end of the season. Hubo Limburg United, with a record of 23-11, currently holds the fifth position in the league standings. Gateretse's debut season with Hubo Limburg United has been remarkable, with his contributions proving vital to the team's success. Against Okapi Aalst, he not only scored 8 points but also secured 3 rebounds and provided 1 assist, demonstrating his versatility on the court. His consistent performance throughout the season is reflected in his averages of 8.6 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 1.1 assists per game. #4. Italian player Abramo Canka, standing tall at 6'6'' and playing as a guard/forward, couldn't turn the tide for Roseto in their recent match. Despite his solid input, Roseto, with a disappointing 7-30 record, suffered a heavy 83-63 defeat at their own court against the formidable Cento (#17). In the game, the 24-year-old former Hatters alumni from the class of 2025 showcased his skills by scoring 11 points and securing 5 rebounds during his 29 minutes on the court. Although the Play-Out Round has already concluded, Canka's efforts couldn't steer his team to victory. Throughout the season, Canka has been maintaining an average of 9.1 points per game and 4.3 rebounds per game.
#5. Experienced Australian Liam McInerney, standing at 6'9'' and playing as a forward/center at 35 years old, is a graduate of Stetson in 2013 and currently plays professionally in Australia.
