Courtesy of Eurobasket LLC We bring you last week's top former Bruins players who are currently playing in pro basketball.
Look at great performance of Tad Dufelmeier (20 points), Alejandro Vasquez (12 points), and De'Sean Parsons (17 points).
#1. Australian Tad Dufelmeier, a 6'0'' point guard at 30 years old, graduated from CUI in 2018 but honed his skills at Salt Lake CC between 2014 and 2016. During his time at Salt Lake CC, he played a pivotal role in helping them secure the NJCAA D1 Region XVIII Champion title in 2016. Currently playing professionally in Australia, Dufelmeier recently showcased his talent in a game for the Knox Raiders. In a thrilling match against the third-ranked Spectres, with a record of 11-5, Dufelmeier led his team to a resounding 104-95 victory. He delivered an outstanding performance, scoring 20 points, grabbing 7 rebounds, and contributing 1 assist in 39 minutes of play. The game was a highly anticipated encounter between two top 3 ranked teams in the South group, with the Knox Raiders holding the top spot with a record of 12-4. This victory marked the fourth consecutive win for Dufelmeier's team, further solidifying their position at the top of the standings. In another impressive display against Nunawading S., Dufelmeier once again proved his worth on the court by scoring 20 points, securing 7 rebounds, and providing 1 assist to help his team emerge victorious. His consistent and stellar performances throughout the season highlight his skills as a champion. With notable statistics this year, averaging 11.9 points, 5.0 rebounds, 4.8 assists, and 2.3 steals per game in the 16 games he has played so far, Dufelmeier continues to make a significant impact on the court and establish himself as a standout player in the league.
#2. Puerto Rican Alejandro Vasquez, a 6'4'' guard/forward who is 25 years old, previously a Blazers alumnus from 2025, showcased his skills while playing for Salt Lake CC between 2022 and 2023. During his time there, he played a crucial role in helping them secure the NJCAA D1 West District Champion title. Currently playing professionally in Puerto Rico, Vasquez recently faced a tough match where he couldn't rally his team, Leones de Ponce (12-17), to a victory. Despite his commendable performance, fourth-placed Ponce suffered an 84-90 defeat on the road against the lower-ranked (#6) Piratas in Group A, where Vasquez contributed 12 points and 5 rebounds in 23 minutes of play. In another game against Quebradillas, Vasquez once again stood out by scoring 12 points and grabbing 5 rebounds. However, even with his notable efforts, his team fell short and lost the game. This season, Vasquez has been averaging 6.4 points, 1.9 rebounds, 1.1 assists, and 1.1 steals per game over 18 appearances.
#3. De'Sean Parsons, a 6'7'' forward who graduated from Portland State in 2017 and previously played at Salt Lake Community College between 2014 and 2015, is currently showcasing his skills as a professional basketball player in Australia. In a recent Australian NBL One (second division) game, he played a key role in leading the East Perth Eagles to a 77-71 victory over the 14th-ranked Slammers with an impressive stat line of 17 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists, and 5 steals in 32 minutes of play. His standout performance against the SW Slammers highlights his versatility and impact on the court, as he contributed significantly to his team's success. The East Perth Eagles, currently positioned eighth in the West group, rely on Parsons' skills and leadership to drive their performance in the league. Throughout the season, Parsons has maintained strong statistics, averaging 14.5 points, 8.3 rebounds, 4.7 assists, and 2.0 steals per game over six appearances. His consistent contributions make him a valuable asset to the team as they strive for success in the league.
#4. Canadian Addison Patterson, a 6'7'' forward who is 24 years old and an Eagles alumnus from 2026, had a brief stint playing for Salt Lake CC between 2021 and 2022 before turning pro in Canada. In his debut season with the Calgary Surge, Patterson showcased his talent on the court, although he couldn't prevent his team, currently at 0-10, from suffering another defeat in their recent game against the Mamba in Saskatoon. Despite the Calgary Surge's loss, ranking at #5, Patterson's performance stood out as he contributed significantly with 15 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists in 32 minutes of play. For a player in his first season of professional basketball, Patterson's performance was indeed remarkable. Unfortunately, his individual efforts were not enough to secure a victory for his team, which has yet to claim a win in the Regular Season. Throughout the season, Patterson has maintained relatively solid statistics, averaging 11.4 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per game over the course of 10 games. Despite the team's struggles, Patterson's skills and contributions have been notable, hinting at a promising future for the talented young player.
