Courtesy of Eurobasket LLC We bring you last week's top former Blue Hose players who are currently playing in pro basketball.
#1. Francois Lewis (6'9''-F-97, graduated '19, plays pro in Uruguay) was the major contributor in Trouville's victory against the eighth-ranked Defensor (6-5) 86-82 in a derby game in the Uruguayan LUB last Friday. He recorded 15 points in 20 minutes. It was his first game for Trouville this season; quite an impressive performance considering it's only Lewis' first season in pro basketball. His team is placed first in the LUB. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical.
#2. Al'Lonzo Coleman (6'8''-F-89, graduated '12, plays in Israel) led Afula to a 2-point victory against the closely-ranked Ironi Ashkelon (3-2) 74-72 in the Israeli National League (second division) on Tuesday night. He recorded a double-double by scoring 15 points and getting 13 rebounds. Coleman also added 3 assists and 2 blocks. Hapoel Afula (4-1) is placed third in the National League. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. Coleman has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages 15.8ppg, 7.2rpg, 4.0apg, 1.2bpg and 1.2spg.
#3. Davon Bell (5'10''-PG-95, graduated '19, currently in Sweden), who plays in the Swedish Basketligan could not help KFUM Jamtland Basket (5-7) to beat BC Lulea (9-3). He recorded 9 points in 29 minutes. But KFUM Jamtland Basket was edged in an overtime98-95on the road by the higher-ranked (#3) BC Lulea. But the season just started, so everything may happen. Bell has relatively good stats this year 10.6ppg, 2.8rpg, 6.6apg and 1.4spg in 11 games he played so far.
#4. Reggie Dillard (6'4''-G-93, graduated '18, plays pro in Finland) contributed to an easy victory against the closely-ranked Ura Basket (4-10) 92-77 in the Finnish Korisliiga last Saturday. Dillard scored 6 points. It was his first game for Korihait this season. His team closes the standings in the Korisliiga. But the season is still in its first stage and everything can happen.
