Courtesy of Eurobasket LLC Here is the weekly review of the top performing Beavers alumni, who are currently playing in pro basketball.
#1. CJ Kelly (6'5''-G-1998, played in 2019-20, plays pro in Hungary) could not help Kormend (4-4) in their last game. Despite his very good performance Kormend lost 74-83 on the road to the second-ranked Honved. Kelly was the top scorer with 20 points in 32 minutes; quite an impressive performance considering it's only his third season in pro basketball. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. Kelly has relatively good stats this year 14.3ppg, 2.7rpg and 2.0apg in three games he played so far.
#2. Kevin Allen (6'11''-C-1994, played in 2013-14, plays in United Kingdom) was not able to help Caledonia Gladiators in their last game on Friday. Despite Allen's very good performance the league leader Caledonia Gladiators was defeated 73-65 in Sheffield by the lower-ranked Sharks (#4). He recorded a double-double by scoring 18 points and getting 13 rebounds. Allen also added 4 assists (was perfect 6-for-6 from the free throw line). It's Allen's first season with the team. He has individually a very good year with high stats. Allen averages 19.2ppg, 7.9rpg and 1.8apg.
#3. A.J. Banks (6'2''-G-1997, played in 2016-18, currently in Argentina) was not able to secure a victory for Gimnasia (4-5) in their game against Boca Juniors (6-4) in the Argentinian La Liga. Banks scored 7 points in 23 minutes. Gimnasia lost 70-82 at home to the much higher-ranked (#3) Boca Juniors. This year Banks averages 4.0ppg and 2.0rpg in three games. Worth to mention he played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him get the job in pro basketball.
#4. Experienced Nikolas Skouen (6'3''-G-1990, played in 2009-11, plays pro in Norway) couldn't help Fyllingen (0-4) in their last game on Wednesday. Despite Skouen's very good performance Fyllingen was defeated 108-94 in Kapfenberg by the higher-ranked Bulls (#7). He was the second best scorer with 17 points. There are only three games left until the end of the European North Basketball League Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. It's Skouen's fifth season with the team. This year Skouen averages 7.3ppg.
#5. Rathen Carter (6'7''-G-1997, played in 2016-17, plays in Ukraine) couldn't help DiDiBao (3-1) in their last game. Despite Carter's very good performance the league leader DiDiBao was edged73-72 on their home court in Kamianets-Podilskyi by the lower-ranked (#3) Khmelnytskyi. He was the top scorer with 17 points. Carter also added 9 boards, handed out 3 passes and blocked 3 shots in 36 minutes. It was DiDiBao's first loss after three consecutive victories. The Regular Season already ended. It's Carter's first season with the team. He has very impressive stats this year 17.3ppg, 4.8rpg, 3.3apg, 1.3bpg and 1.3spg in four games. He attended previously one of camps at Eurobasket Summer League on his way to pro basketball.
