Courtesy of Eurobasket LLC Here is the weekly review of the top performing Bears alumni, who are currently playing in pro basketball.
#1. Steven Green (6'5''-G-1993, played in 2013-15, plays pro in Qatar) could not help Al Sadd (1-2) in their last game. Despite his very good performance Al Sadd lost 72-82 in a derby game to the lower-ranked (#4) Al Shamal. Green was the top scorer with 22 points. He also added 4 boards, passed 4 assists and added 4 steals in 40 minutes. There are only three games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Green has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages 21.6ppg, 5.6rpg, 5.8apg and 1.6spg in five games he played so far.
#2. Experienced Ira Brown (6'4''-F-1982, played in 2005-07, plays in Japan) was not able to help Kyoto Hannaryz in their game against Dolphins (14-2) in the Japanese B1 League. He recorded only 4 points. The 12th-placed Kyoto Hannaryz (5-11) was badly defeated72-52 on the road by the second-ranked Dolphins in the West group. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. It's Brown's first year with the team. This season Brown averages 2.2ppg, 3.1rpg, 1.1apg and 1.3spg. He is a naturalized Japanese.
