#1. Shaquille Maharaj (6'5''-F-1997, played in 2016-17, plays pro in Australia) led McKinnon Cougars to a victory over the tenth-ranked Vikings (1-4) crushing them 97-48 in the Australian Big V (third division) on Saturday night. He was MVP of the game. Maharaj recorded 25 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 25 minutes. McKinnon Cougars (4-1) are placed third in the Big V. It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. Maharaj has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages 24.0ppg and 8.0rpg.
#2. Experienced Dani Busto (6'8''-F/C-1992, played in 2011-15, plays in Spain) could not help Andujar SKA (8-16) in their last game. Despite Busto's very good performance the ninth-placed Andujar SKA (8-16) was badly defeated97-77 on the road by the higher-ranked (#6) Melilla in the Group D-A. He was the second best scorer with 16 points. Busto also added 5 rebounds. The Regular Season already ended. This year Busto averages 8.5ppg and 4.4rpg in 13 games he played so far.
#3. Ryo Tawatari (5'11''-PG-1993, played in 2013-15, currently in Japan) was not able to help Fukushima Firebonds in their game against Watts (21-39) in the Japanese B2 League. It was not his best game last Sunday. Tawatari scored only 2 points and added 4 passes in 25 minutes. The seventh-placed Fukushima Firebonds (15-45) were defeated 80-69 in Aomori by the higher-ranked Watts (#6) in the East group. The Regular Season already ended. This season Tawatari averages 5.8ppg, 1.5rpg and 3.6apg.
#4. Christian Yammouni (6'0''-G-1996, played in 2013-17, plays pro in Australia) was not able to secure a victory for Dandenong Rangers (4-2) in their game against Blues (3-2) in the Australian NBL One (second division). He scored 6 points. The fifth-placed Dandenong Rangers (4-2) lost 86-97 in Seaford to the lower-ranked (#7) Blues in the South group. But the season just started, so everything may happen. It's Yammouni's first year with the team. This season Yammouni averages 2.3ppg in four games.
#5. Mikh McKinney (6'1''-G-1992, played in 2011-12, plays in Mexico) couldn't help Astros de Jalisco (20-6) in their game last Friday. Despite McKinney's very good performance the league leader Astros de Jalisco was defeated 116-112 in Ciudad de Mexico by the second-ranked Angeles. He recorded 17 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists (made all of his five free throws) in 22 minutes. It's McKinney's first season with the team. McKinney has relatively good stats this year 11.9ppg, 3.2rpg and 2.5apg. He is a naturalized Filipino.
