#1. Jemerrio Jones, a 31-year-old guard standing at 6'5'' who graduated from NM State in 2018 and previously played at Hill JC between 2014 and 2016, currently plays professionally in Mexico. Recently, he led Frayles de Guasave to a resounding victory over the eighth-ranked Pioneros Los Mochis, with a final score of 111-83 in the Mexican Circuito de Baloncesto de la Costa del Pacifico on Friday night. In this game, Jones exhibited his prowess on the court by scoring 13 points, securing 6 rebounds, providing 4 assists, and contributing 3 steals, all within 21 minutes of play. Frayles de Guasave, currently holding the second position in the league with a record of 23-17, benefited significantly from Jones' impressive performance against Los Mochis. His remarkable statistics of 13 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists clearly showcased his abilities as a champion player. Throughout the season, Jones has maintained strong averages of 6.7 points per game (ranking fourth in the league), 9.0 rebounds per game (ranking second in the league), 4.3 assists per game, and 1.8 steals per game (ranking fourth in the league). His consistent contributions on the court highlight his skills and capabilities as a finalist in the league.
#2. Australian champion Luke Phillips, a 6'10'' power forward who is 26 years old and an alumnus of Warhawks from 2022, previously played at Hill JC between 2018 and 2019 before turning pro in Australia. In the recent game last Saturday, Phillips, representing Perth Redbacks who are currently in the ninth position with a 4-7 record, faced a tough challenge against the higher-ranked Eagles, who hold the seventh spot in the West group. Despite the valiant efforts of the finalist, Perth R. was defeated 90-83 on the road. During the match, Phillips displayed an impressive performance by scoring 16 points, grabbing 6 rebounds, and playing for 39 minutes. His notable contribution was evident in his solid performance against East Perth, where he again scored 16 points, secured 6 rebounds, and provided 1 assist. Despite his remarkable individual efforts, his team unfortunately fell short of securing the victory. Throughout the season, Phillips has consistently delivered outstanding performances, showcasing remarkable stats with an average of 16.0 points per game, 7.1 rebounds per game, and 3.1 assists per game. His remarkable consistency and contributions highlight him as a standout player in the league.
#3. Canadian player Jamal Fuller, a 6'5'' guard/forward who graduated from LIU Brooklyn in 2026 after playing at Hill JC from 2020 to 2022, showcased his skills in a recent Canadian Elite Basketball League game. Fuller played a key role in the Saskatchewan Mamba's narrow 90-88 victory over the Shooting Stars, contributing 8 points and 4 rebounds in just 17 minutes on the court. Despite the Saskatchewan Mamba's current 2-4 record, it's important to remember that the season is still in its early stages, leaving room for improvement and surprises. Fuller's standout performance in a crucial game against Scarborough, where he recorded 8 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 assists, was pivotal in securing the win for his team and ultimately helping them become the champion. This season, Fuller has been averaging 9.8 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 1.7 assists per game, showcasing his versatility and impact on the court. With his consistent contributions and standout performances, Fuller is proving to be a valuable asset for the Saskatchewan Mamba as they aim for success in the league.
#4. Canadian Emmanuel Bandoumel, a 6'4'' guard and 28-year-old Cornhuskers alumnus from 2023, showcased his skills on the court as he played for the Edmonton Stingers in the Canadian Elite Basketball League. Despite the Surge's winless record of 0-5, Bandoumel helped lead his team to a 104-98 victory on Sunday night. In that game, he played for 21 minutes and scored 6 points. Although the Edmonton Stingers currently hold a somewhat modest 2-3 record this season, Bandoumel has been a key player in their lineup. In a recent game against Calgary, he displayed an outstanding performance by scoring 6 points, securing 2 rebounds, and providing 1 assist. His efforts were pivotal in guiding his team to emerge as the champion in that particular matchup. Throughout the season, Bandoumel has maintained solid averages of 7.4 points per game, 4.0 rebounds per game, and 3.0 assists per game, showcasing his versatility and contribution to the team's success.
