This season marks Jackson's fifth year with the team, and his performance against Nacional highlighted his importance as a key player in his team's success. Scoring 12 points, grabbing 2 rebounds, and providing 3 assists, Jackson's contributions were instrumental in securing the win for his team. His consistent performance and leadership have undoubtedly contributed to his team's success and solidified his reputation as a champion athlete.
#2. In the recent game, Eric Buckner, a 6'10'' center and Panthers alumni from 2012, showcased his skills for Final Spor but couldn't prevent his team from a narrow 89-88 defeat against the #10 ranked Cedi Osman. Despite his exceptional performance, where he achieved a double-double with 20 points, 10 rebounds, and 3 blocks in 35 minutes of play, Final Spor suffered their fourth consecutive loss. This game marked the end of the Regular Season, with Final Spor finishing with an 11-22 record. Buckner, who previously played at Gulf Coast CC from 2008 to 2009 and now competes professionally in Turkey, joined Final Spor for his first season with the team. Throughout the season, he has maintained impressive statistics, averaging 13.8 points, 9.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 1.2 blocks per game over the 11 games he has participated in. Despite his noteworthy contributions, Final Spor was unable to secure a victory in their last game, with Buckner's efforts not being enough to clinch the win over Cedi Osman.
#3. Kevon Godwin, a 6'2'' guard who graduated from Angelo St. in 2024 after playing for Gulf Coast CC between 2018 and 2020, where he helped them become the NJCAA D1 South Atlantic District Champion in 2020, is currently playing professionally in Luxembourg. In a recent game, Godwin couldn't lead Arantia (18-4) to victory as they were narrowly defeated 92-90 by T71, ranked #6 in the Places 1-8 group. Despite the loss, Godwin showcased an impressive performance by scoring 34 points, along with 3 rebounds, and 5 assists. He also made 3 steals and went a perfect 6-for-6 from the free-throw line in the 40 minutes he played. This remarkable display is noteworthy, especially considering that he is only in his second season of professional basketball. This season, Godwin has been excelling individually, averaging 23.1 points, 3.3 rebounds, 4.3 assists, and 1.7 steals per game in the 23 games he has played so far. Despite his efforts, Gordon scored 7 points in 24 minutes as Benfica dominated the game, resulting in a disappointing 107-65 loss for Esgueira on their home court. As the regular season nears its end, Gordon's team has only one more crucial game left to play. In the match against Benfica, Gordon displayed his skills by contributing 7 points, 2 rebounds, and 1 assist. Although Goosby had a decent performance, contributing 3 points, 4 rebounds, and 1 assist in 14 minutes of play, he did not consider Sunday's game to be one of his best showings. Throughout this season, Goosby has been averaging 4.7 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 1.9 assists per game across seven games.
