#1. Experienced Cheikh Mbodj (6'10''-C-87, played in 2008-11, plays pro in Japan) was the major contributor in a Nishinomiya Storks' victory against the seventh-ranked Bambitious Nara (18-33) 76-64 in the Japanese B2 League in Saturday night's game. He had a double-double by scoring 16 points and getting 12 rebounds. Mbodj also added 5 blocks in 38 minutes. Nishinomiya Storks (36-17) are placed first in West group. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. Mbodj has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages 15.6ppg, 8.3rpg, 1.4apg and 1.5bpg in 47 games he played so far.
#2. David Nesbitt (6'8''-PF-91, played in 2008-09, plays in Brazil) led Minas Belo Horizonte to a 2-point victory against the closely-ranked Paschoalotto/Bauru (17-10) 81-79 in the Brazilian NBB last Tuesday. Nesbitt recorded 15 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. Minas Belo Horizonte (25-4) is placed second in the NBB. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. The Regular Season already ended. Nesbitt has relatively good stats this season 11.2ppg, 5.9rpg and 1.8apg.
#3. Michael Rostampour (6'8''-F-91, played in 2010-11, currently in Iran) managed to help Shahrdari Gorgan in a victory against the second-ranked Chemidor (13-2) 95-91 in the Iranian Superleague on Wednesday night. He scored only 4 points in 8 minutes on the court. It was the game of the round between two top 3 ranked teams in Group A. Shahrdari Gorgan (16-0) is placed first. So far his team won all sixteen games in the Semi-Finals. It's Rostampour's first season with the team. This year Rostampour averages 8.9ppg, 4.5rpg, 1.7apg and 1.3spg in 16 games. He is a naturalized Iranian.
#4. John Gardiner (6'9''-C-83, played in 2003-05, plays pro in Austria) led Swarco Raiders Tirol Innsbruck to an easy victory against the closely-ranked KOS (10-8) crushing them 90-65 in the Austrian 2.Bundesliga (second division) in Saturday night's game. He recorded a double-double by scoring 17 points and getting 12 rebounds. Gardiner also added 3 assists, 3 blocks and 3 steals. Swarco Raiders Tirol Innsbruck (12-6) is placed fourth in the 2.Bundesliga. Gardiner has relatively good stats this season 10.9ppg, 7.9rpg, 1.2apg and 1.6spg. He has also Trinidad and Tobago passport.
