Portuguese champion Daniel Relvao, a 29-year-old center standing at 6'10'' and an alumnus of the Patriots from 2017, currently playing professionally in Portugal, played a crucial role in Sport Lisboa Benfica's victory over the fifth-ranked Oliveirense with a commanding scoreline of 86-61 in the Portuguese Liga Betclic Masculina on Saturday night. Despite scoring only 2 points, Relvao managed to grab 8 rebounds and make 2 blocks in just 17 minutes of play. With this win, Sport Lisboa Benfica (20-2) maintains its position at the top of the league, marking their fifth consecutive victory. Relvao's noteworthy performance against Oliveirense, where he contributed 2 points, 8 rebounds, and 2 assists, proved instrumental in helping his team secure the victory and emerge as the champion. Saquan Singleton, a 6'6'' guard who graduated from GMU in 2023 and now plays professionally in Colombia, showcased his skills by leading Toros Del Valle to a decisive 102-72 victory over the closely-ranked Piratas in the Colombian LBP on Saturday night. In this highly anticipated match between two top 4 teams, Singleton's performance was exceptional as he recorded a double-double with 12 points and 12 assists, along with 5 rebounds and 4 steals in just 26 minutes of play. Toros Del Valle's win marked their fourth consecutive victory, solidifying their position as the top team in the league with a record of 12-2. Singleton's stellar contribution was instrumental in securing the victory for his team as they emerged as the champion of the game. His impressive season stats, averaging 10.2 points, 5.6 rebounds, 6.7 assists (leading the league), and 2.0 steals (third-best in the league), further highlight his impact on the court as a standout finalist.
