#1. Jared Small (6'7''-G-1997, played in 2017-19, plays pro in Azerbaijan) led Gence to a 3-point victory over the closely-ranked NTD (20-8) 95-92 in the Azerbaijani ABL last Saturday. He was MVP of the game. Small scored 38 points (!!!) and grabbed 4 rebounds in 37 minutes; quite an impressive performance considering it's only his first season in pro basketball. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Gence BK Ganja (20-8) is placed third in the ABL. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. The Regular Season already ended. Small has relatively good stats this year 14.8ppg, 5.4rpg, 2.4apg and 1.4spg in 13 games he played so far.
#2. Joshua Sykes (6'8''-F/C-1996, played in 2014-16, plays in Australia) contributed to an easy victory against the tenth-ranked Thunder (3-3) crushing them 102-66 in the Australian NBL One (second division) on Sunday night. Sykes recorded 7 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists and made 2 blocks. Eltham Wildcats (5-1) are placed second in South group. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. Sykes has relatively good stats this year 13.0ppg, 7.0rpg, 1.8apg, 2.4bpg and 1.4spg.
#3. David Rico (6'2''-G, played in 2017-19, currently in Mexico), who plays in the Mexican CIBACOPA could not help Caballeros de Culiacan (14-12) to beat Halcones de Ciudad Obregon (7-19). It was not Rico's best game last Friday. He recorded only 2 points in 5 minutes on the court. It was his first game for Caballeros de Culiacan this season. Caballeros de Culiacan was badly defeated111-94 on the road by the league outsider (#8) Halcones de Ciudad Obregon.
#4. Udun Osakue (6'6''-F-1992, played in 2011-13, plays pro in Azerbaijan) managed to help Sabah BK Baku to win against the league outsider Olimpic Sheki (2-26) crushing them 105-80 in the Azerbaijani ABL last Saturday. He scored only 2 points. Sabah BK Baku (21-7) is placed first in the ABL. It was his team's fifth consecutive victory in a row. The Regular Season already ended. It's Osakue's first season with the team. Osakue has relatively good stats this year 11.3ppg, 8.5rpg, 3.3apg and 1.7spg. He is a naturalized Nigerian.
