#1. Demetric Horton (6'5''-G, played in 2018-19, plays pro in Belgium) led his Belgian team Brussels Basketball to a victory over the league outsider Rotterdam (0-4) 85-68 in the BNXT League on Sunday night. He was MVP of the game. Horton scored 18 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 21 minutes; quite an impressive performance considering it's only his third season in pro basketball. Brussels Basketball (3-1) is placed eighth in the BNXT League. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. It's Horton's first year with the team. Horton has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages 19.0ppg, 2.8rpg and 1.5apg.
#2. TJ Nesmith (6'9''-F-2001, played in 2019-21, plays in Japan) contributed to an easy victory against one of league's weakest teams Earthfriends (0-6) crushing them 82-50 in the Japanese B3 League in Saturday night's game. He recorded 9 points, 9 rebounds and 3 blocks. Saitama Broncos (6-2) are placed third in the B3 League. But the season just started, so everything may happen. It's Nesmith's first year with the team. This season Nesmith averages 10.0ppg and 6.3rpg in eight games he played so far.
#3. Chase Farmer (6'4''-G, played in 2020-21, currently in Thailand), who plays in the Thailand TGBL (third division) could not help Thailand Gorillas (5-1) in their game last Sunday. Despite Farmer's good performance the second-placed Thailand Gorillas (5-1) were crushed83-59 on the road by the leading Grizzlies in the Fire Division. He scored 12 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 40 minutes. This season Farmer has very high stats. He averages 20.0ppg, 5.8rpg, 5.5apg and 2.8spg.
#4. Vernon Payne (6'8''-PF, played in 2010-11, plays pro in Finland) was not able to help one of league's weakest teams HyPo (0-2) in their last game. Despite his good performance HyPo lost 73-82 in Joensuu to the higher-ranked (#8) Kataja Basket Talents. Payne scored 13 points, grabbed 6 rebounds and made 2 blocks. But the season is still in its first stage and everything can happen. This year Payne averages 9.0ppg, 8.5rpg, 3.0apg, 1.5bpg and 1.5spg in two games.
