University of Minnesota added to their roster 23-year old point guard Malik Smith (188-77kg-90). He comes from Florida International University (NCAA). In 32 games he recorded 14.1ppg, 2.7rpg and 1.3apg this season. He helped them to make it to the final. A very spectacular season in his career as he was voted to Sun Belt All-Tournament Team.

#1. Robert Holcomb Faye (185-G-84, college: Radford, currently plays in Holland), who plays in the Dutch Eredivisie could not help Leeuwarden (20-16) in their last game. Despite his very good performance Leeuwarden was edged 74-73 on the road by the second-ranked Leiden.

Lionel Hollins isn't normally one for histrionics. The Memphis Grizzlies coach is the steady sort, a composed personality who reflects the confident steadiness of his workmanlike team with his courtside demeanor. It was Hollins alright. But this sure didn't look like his team
